The launch of Crew-3 has been delayed again, with the mission currently scheduled for Wednesday 10 November.
The departure was originally scheduled for Halloween on 31 October, but was postponed to 3 November due to bad weather conditions. After one of the astronauts fell ill, the launch was postponed a second time, pushing the launch back to 6 November, and now NASA announced: the launch is postponed to 10 November. A SpaceX noted that there is an 80 per cent probability of favourable weather conditions on the new scheduled departure date.
Spaceflight delays are common, but the Crew-3 mission has experienced more problems than usual. Crew-3 is the fourth joint mission between NASA and SpaceX, with four astronauts - Matthias Maurer (ESA), Thomas Marshburn (NASA), Raja Chari (NASA) and Kayla Barron (NASA) - flying in a Crew Dragon capsule launched by a Falcon 9 launcher to the International Space Station, where they will stay until April 2022.
