"If this is all thanks to Hertz, I would like to stress that we have not yet signed any contract. The demand for Tesla models is far greater than we can produce, so we can sell the vehicles to Hertz on the same terms as to all our other customers. The Hertz deal has no impact on our economy" - Musk clarified the situation under the Twitter post depicting the jump.

Hertz on the other hand BBC-as interviewed bythat "delivery of Teslas has already started." The comment caused Tesla's share price to fall 4 percent.

Elon Musk is the richest man in the world, current net worth of $326 billion. According to the investment bank Morgan Stanley, SpaceX could bring in a staggering amount of money for Musk in the near future, and could become the world's most valuable company, beating Tesla. If the 'prediction' comes true, Musk will be the first private entrepreneur in the world to call himself a billionaire, or a thousand billionaire.
