At the dawn of computing, we were happy if a computer took up half the room, but then smaller and smaller and smaller machines appeared, until we reached the point where a fitness wristband had the computing power of a modern monstrosity.

The size of desktops has not changed much, but mini PCs have appeared. They vary in size, but can perform at about the same level as their desktop counterparts, but only in certain cases, as much of the expandability has to be given up.

Ningmei's Rubik's Cube Mini Computer Host, also called Cube-PC, is a full-fledged mini computer that is smaller than a smartphone.

Now that we've got the dimensions sorted, let's see what it can really do, because a rock is smaller than a phone, yet we're not replacing our Core 2 Duo powerhouse with it. A quad-core Intel J4125 processor clocked at 2.7Ghz, Intel UHD600 GPU and 6 or 8GB of RAM, plus up to 256GB of M.2 SSD.

But we're not done yet: HDMI (4K), USB-C, 2 USB 3.0 ports, SD card slot, and jack. Dual Band WiFi and Bluetooth are also included for data connectivity. There is no Ethernet port, but this can be remedied by sacrificing one of the USB ports.

Last but not least, let's talk about the price: the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM combo is roughly $149, and the 8/256 is $186. There is also a Marvel edition, which is the 8/256 model with a different exterior, for $201.
