Redmi A1: the most affordable Redmi ever

Xiaomi has announced that it will start selling the Redmi A1 series. The new entry-level Redmi range features a stylish design and rich functionality, providing an excellent user experience even at a price below HUF 50,000.

The Redmi A1 has a huge 6.52" inch HD+ display with 1600×720 pixels resolution, which gives you a great picture both when watching videos and playing games. To further enhance the user experience, the devices also feature an eye-saving dark theme and night mode.

The Redmi A1 is equipped with an 8 MP main camera with an additional lens1 specifically designed for portrait photography, and a 5 MP camera on the front. Both the front and rear cameras can be used in a variety of modes, such as portrait, short video and time-lapse. The smartphone is equipped with a large 5000 mAh battery, which can be charged with a 10 W charger to provide enough power for all day use.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 processor - providing the computing power to run applications, support the high-resolution display, while conserving the phone's resources. The phone's storage can be expanded up to 1TB2, freeing up plenty of space for more data.

As well as offering great value for money for its remarkable hardware - it also looks good. Basically inheriting the look of the Redmi Note range, the Redmi A1 will be available in black and light green in a stylish, flat chassis. The leather-like material on the back is accentuated by simple, minimalist, slightly curved edges. It's less likely to show fingerprints and more resistant to dirt.

The Redmi A1 will be available in 2GB+32GB configuration. The device's suggested retail price is expected to be HUF 49,990 in Hungary and will be available for purchase from early October through Xiaomi's official sales channels, such as xiaomishop.hu webshop.
