The Redmi 7A is not new to our site, Laci told me all about itand I skinned the baby! Let's see what a little phone like this can do!

First of all, to be clear, this is not a powerhouse, so I didn't start the performance test with Asphalt 9, Fortnite or PupG, although I did try some of them, and I can say with a bit of exaggeration that they're kicking ass. But I mostly chose games that were appropriate for the game, like Clash Royal, Tap Tap Revenge, Real Racing 3, Mighty Battles, Defender III, Forge of Empire, Bricks Breaker, 1942 Arcad Shooter, Empire & Puzzles, etc. Of these, Clash Royal was the one that really grabbed me for some reason and I spent hours on it.

I also went through all the games on Google Play that the app offers. Of course, I also watched a few movies on YouTube during the games, which is extreme for an average user, but the phone didn't even touch them and of course Face was fine. After 3 days of "suffering", I finally managed to get the battery to work, producing a nice SoT time.

In 2 days and 2 hours, with constant gaming and media consumption, 11 and a half hours of screen time is quite something. But then came the question: how much can you get on the mobile net with GPS navigation? Well, luckily I was on a road trip and I was only using the Redmi 7A with Digi mobile, Waze GPS app.

Out of a 4+ hour trip, it ran for 3 hours straight, with rest stops, shopping, etc. and still only 30% of battery drain, the same with say Mi 9SE phone half the battery would have hurt. I hope this meets the request, it's still surprising to me to this day how much it still lasts, even though it's already full of everything. Of course along with these I ran Facebook, Gmail, Google services, Messenger, etc., just like a normal smartphone juzer.

There's nothing wrong with the water resistance either, it was a bit of a rough demonstration at the beginning of the video, although it's something that all phones from this year, starting with the Redmi Note 6 Pro, can handle, as all phones released after that have P2i coating.

Dr. Richald Rowles demonstrates this on a Redmi K20 phone at the P2i laboratory in England. The P2i nanotechnology involves coating the surface with an ultra-thin layer of polymer (a perfluorocarbon compound), which increases the surface tension, thus repelling water. You can read more about this in the company website, or the relevant Wiki page.

So the performance is good, not for everyone of course, but for those who don't spend all day on their phone and use apps that need a lot of performance, it's perfect. The memory isn't too much, MIUI makes good use of it, but you can't play games, nest and listen to music at the same time without one of them hanging or constantly reloading. Battery life is excellent! For such a low power, screen, it's more than enough, but you can get up to 3-4 days of battery life out of it.

I can recommend the phone to almost anyone, with compromises of course, you have to be aware of your knowledge before you buy and if that's enough, I think it's well worth the price. Speaking of price. The test device is available at Xiaomishop.hu (it just got a little wet, no harm done! :-D ), the Redmi 7A has only 2 GB of memory, but you can choose between 16 or 32 GB of storage and of course four different colours:
