The POCO X Series is designed with gamers in mind. As an example I can cite the POCO X3 Pro-powered by the Snapdragon 860 chipset. This model was impressive, combining the excellent performance of the SD860 with a high refresh rate of 120 Hz. But coming soon is the POCO X5 5G!

Unfortunately, the POCO X4 Pro, which was introduced as its successor, didn't bring good performance improvements. In fact, the Snapdragon 695, which is much worse than the Snapdragon 860, was still preferred. Because of this, many users are not satisfied with the POCO X4 Pro 5G and have abandoned POCO. POCO is now preparing a new POCO X5 series, taking these feedbacks into account.

The POCO X4 Pro 5G model has not attracted the attention of users. In terms of performance, this device had some shortcomings, performing poorly compared to the POCO X3 Pro. Therefore, users did not like the POCO X4 Pro 5G at all. The new device offers impressive features. The POCO X5 5G is codenamed "redwood". The new POCO model comes with an LCD panel with 120 Hz refresh rate. Although it is a step backwards in this respect compared to the previous POCO X4 Pro 5G, it has one important surprise in store. The use of an LCD panel in this device reduces costs and allows the brand to focus on other functions.

The POCO X5 5G is yet to be released. According to the latest leaks, it is not due until late December or January 2023. I'm basing this on the fact that it will run MIUI 14 already installed on it. The new MIUI will be unveiled in December along with the Xiaomi 13 phone, which could even be a global release. We'll see.
