Some Finnish operators have banned Xiaomi phones

Xiaomi and its sub-brands, such as Redmi and POCO, can be bought worldwide. Asia, Europe, USA, they are available everywhere, with some restrictions. So far in India Xiaomi has had problems with the state, but now some Finnish mobile operators have decided to ban the brand.

A few months ago, India accused Xiaomi Technology India Private Company, Xiaomi India Branch and other local branches of making illegal money transfers through royalty payments to foreign entities. Xiaomi has stressed that these payments are legal and that all means are being used to protect its reputation and interests.

Now Finland's three largest mobile operators, Telia, DNA and Elisa, have decided to stop selling Xiaomi products. The decision is entirely political, in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Finnish sources are sharply critical of Xiaomi's activities in Russia.
