This afternoon, the Redmi Note 13 series was unveiled in China, along with a number of new products. But the phones were more important to us, but the rest was interesting. I'll write about it later. So let's see the phones, their specs and price.

Redmi Note 13 5G

I'll start with the smallest of the little rascals, the simple Redmi Note 13 5G phone. It arrived in its home country with simple yet good features. It has taken the design further and for its price it has great features. For the price in China, of course.

Today's average hardware is the MediaTek Dimensity 6080, which is roughly equivalent to the Snapdragon 695. SD695 is found in the POCO X4 Pro, POXO X5 and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G phones, among others. So not a bad processor. I could say the same for its camera, which is the already mid-range 108 MP Samsung sensor and 6-member lens. It's joined by a 2 MP depth of field camera. At the front, 16 MP delivers selfies and videos.

Its average features continue with the battery, which has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and supports 33 W fast charging. In line with this is its screen, which is a 120 Hz AMOLED flat screen with 2,160 Hz touch sampling. In terms of mobile networks, it supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz, but no NFC.

Well the prices also reflect its simplicity, out there in China it is as follows:

  • 6/128 GB - 1.099 yuan ~ 54.660 Ft
  • 8/128 GB - 1.199 yuan ~ 59.630 Ft
  • 8/256 GB - 1.399 yuan ~ 69.580 Ft
  • 12/256 GB - 1.599 yuan ~ 79.530 Ft

Redmi Note 13 Pro

The Redmi Note 13 Pro isn't one notch better, it's light years better. It has everything the Pro+ has, but it's a notch weaker. But it's still more at the upper end of the mid-range.

The first and best thing about this phone is the SoC, or Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. This is the first time Qualcomm has debuted this development. The name may sound confusing because there was no first-gen 7s or second-gen Snapdragon 7. I don't even know what the "s" stands for, but it's clearly an indicator of lowered specs. The CPU has four cores at 2.4GHz for performance and the other four at 1.95GHz for efficiency.

The other features are at the top of their class. Its second-generation 1.5K resolution screen has 1,800 nit peak brightness, 1920 Hz PWM, 12 bit, 446 ppi, adaptive HDR10+ and triple TÜV certification. This screen is also in the top-of-the-range Redmi K60 series! The other such roughness in it is its camera. The "new" Samsung ISOCELL HP3 image sensor with 200 MP resolution. It's got Optical Image Stabilization, 7-member lens, Optics Class lossless zoom, 1 lens, 3 focal lengths. It also features ALD anti-glare professional coating, Smart-ISO Pro, SuperQPD autofocus and Full-link P3 colour gamut. The rest of the rear camera is just average, with an 8 MP Ultra wide-angle lens and 2 MP Outstanding Macro lens.

The battery has the usual 5,000 mAh capacity, but now has a 67 W wired fast charge. The chassis and phone design is more flexible, with shock-absorbing corners and IP54 splash resistance. But the price is very expensive in the East:

  • 8/128 GB - 1.399 yuan ~ 69.580 Ft
  • 8/256 GB - 1.499 yuan ~ 74.550 Ft
  • 12/256 GB - 1.699 yuan ~ 84.500 Ft
  • 12/512 GB - 1.899 yuan ~ 94.450 Ft
  • 16/512 GB - 1.999 yuan ~ 99.420 Ft

Redmi Note 13 Pro+

And then there is the one that has a somewhat incomprehensible position. Redmi intended it to be the top of the mid-range, but its performance and knowledge could easily fit in the lower end of the upper range. But there it would be too cheap.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a few "little things" that give it extra power compared to the Redmi Note 13 Pro. But it's very. The first one is the processor! The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra is specifically built for the phone to handle all the features that are packed into it. Also, the 4nm technology it's made with is only a hallmark of top-of-the-line procs. In AnTuTu, it scored 803.381, something that was previously achieved by the Dimensity 8100 or Snapdragon 870. So its performance isn't a wax star, but it will hold its own, that's for sure.

As for the display, I wrote above that it's not a crappy OLED, but the Pro+ has more protection, with Corning Gorilla Victus glass. The camera is the same, but better put together than the Pro. It's got an IP68 water resistance rating, backed up by lots of tests and floods who got to try it out before the launch. Its battery is only 5,000 mAh, but it'll push it up to 100 on a 120 W fast charge in no time. In terms of shape, however, unlike the others, it's already rounded like the two sides. Who likes what, personally I don't. But the price is more than I like, even though it's still Chinese, but at that price...

  • 12/256 GB - 1.899 yuan ~ 94.450 Ft
  • 12/512 GB - 2.099 yuan ~ 104.400 Ft
  • 16/512 GB - 2.199 yuan ~ 109.400 Ft

Summary

We've got three more excellent Redmi Note phones with market-busting prices. Only in China, of course. There's not even much speculation on European prices, which would be a shame. As soon as something comes to my ears, I will of course post it and maybe there will be an article.
