Although not all promised devices in Europe have received MIUI 12.5 yet, it's already more screenshots appeared on Mi Community. These screenshots were taken under MIUI 13 as described. Here:

Widgets have been an integral part of Android since version 1.5. While widgets themselves have evolved, the desktop placement has essentially since Android 4.0 gyakorlatilag ugyanolyan, ugyanúgy néz ki. Ezen is változtatna a MIUI 13, de akárhogy is nézi az ember, nem tudja nem észre venni, hogy valahonnan ismerősek ezek a “lebegő” widgetek.

Why would I deny it, this widget is a one-to-one copy. iOS 14 was released last year alongside the iPhone 12 series, and one of the big new features was widget support. Not a nice thing to say, it's customary to say, but after all, the basic concept was copied by Apple from android phones, improved, and then the way it was improved was copied by Xiaomi into MIUI.

Of course, there are times when I'm really happy that there are certain iOS-inspired things that have been included in Android, such as gesture control, without which I can't imagine a phone today. I can also imagine that, when I use the new widgets, I'll say the same thing about them, but a little more creativity, please! But obviously there will be new icons, there will be new designs, so I don't want to completely put down the developers of MIUI.

What else can we expect with MIUI 13?

Rumours suggest that MIUI 13 will focus on privacy, smoother animations and more customisable notifications. One of the biggest changes is that all updated devices are expected to get virtual RAM expansion. Think of this as the system taking, say, 1 GB of storage and using it as RAM. This won't be as fast as real RAM, of course, but it could still make the device faster.

No news on the release date yet, and certainly no news on the supported devices.
