The MIUI 13 update wave has not yet been completed, in Europe, but east are already testing the next version, MIUI 13.5. An official announcement has not yet been made, but inside information suggests that there will be an interim version, similar to the previous one.

But unfortunately not all phones running today will get the new update, even if they already have MIUI 13. Xiaomi has decided that only those that have Android 12 base will get it, as it's much needed to use the new features.

So I will regretfully list the devices that will not receive the MIUI 13.5 update on this basis:

  • Mi 9 / 9 SE / 9 Lite / 9 Pro
  • Mi 9T / Mi 9T Pro
  • Mi CC9 / Mi CC9 Meitu
  • Redmi K20 / K20 Pro / K20 Pro Premium
  • Redmi Note 8 / Note 8T / Note 8 Pro
  • Redmi 9A / 9AT / 9i / 9C
  • POCO C3 / C31

The list will, of course, include Chinese, Indian and European equivalents. But for now, let's look at the more important list of devices that could get the MIUI 13.5 update, based on Android 12.

This article is only and exclusively about the official update. But don't worry, if your phone is on the top of the list and doesn't get any more official updates, there will still be custom ROMs. There have always been enthusiastic developers who still managed to get the newer Android base out to older phones. While MIUI interface and features won't be there, at least the new basic features will be.
