In the last ten years, the market for wearable smart devices has grown from nothing to billions of dollars, and one of the most important families is smart bracelets, also known as activity trackers, which are expected to sell more than a hundred million units globally this year. Currently, Xiaomi is one of the market leaders in the smart bracelet category, thanks in large part to the strong demand for the fresh Mi Smart Band 6.
But why are smart bracelets so successful? What is their appeal? What are the reasons for their growing popularity in Hungary and what are their most important features? Xiaomi is currently one of the market leaders in this category, thanks largely to its recent For Mi Smart Band 6 high demand.
Great design
The right smartcards unlike smart watches, they have a thin, slim colour screen that is barely wider than the strap. This gives the product a very attractive look, and many people love it for that alone. It shows the wearer that they're keeping up with the times and paying attention to trends.

It is not for nothing that these products are also called activity meters, as they are able to monitor the user's fitness and sports activities thanks to their built-in sensors. For example, how far they have covered, at what speed, what their heart rate is, etc. If the wearer gives their exact details, such as their age, height and weight, they can also calculate how many calories they have burned during a particular physical activity.
The quality and perception of a smart bracelet is fundamentally influenced by how accurately it measures such data. This also depends on its ability to distinguish between different types of movement. The aforementioned Mi Smart Band 6 has more than 30 fitness modes!
The application
This data is transmitted from the activity meters to a mobile app via Bluetooth connection. These applications are also very important, as they largely determine how usable or convenient a product is. This software processes and evaluates the incoming data and can store it in a retrievable form. They can even produce visual graphs based on this information, which allow users to easily monitor their sporting and physical activity.
Rugged design
There is a growing number of smart bracelets that are resistant to dust and water. That means they won't get wet, and there are even a few that can be submerged in water and used for swimming or diving.

Display
In terms of display, there are big differences between smart bracelets. OLED, AMOLD display technology is considered to be the most common. Thanks to this, the colours are beautiful, bright and there is no need to worry about haze. However, there can be significant differences in size, brightness and resolution. The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6, for example, has a 1.56-inch screen and a resolution of 152 x 486 pixels, which means a pixel density of 326 ppi. This is already the standard for smartphones, so it's a clear improvement over older products.
It should also be mentioned here that the graphical appearance of the better smartwatches, i.e. the number face, can be modified. In total, watchmakers can choose from 60 such pre-programmed graphical interfaces, which are very impressive due to their high resolution. The brightness is also a key factor, as if it is low, the screen simply cannot be seen (well) in daylight.

It is important that a smart bracelet is able to signal when a call or message is received on the connected phone. Better products can even display incoming SMS, Messenger, Whatsapp, Viber or other chat app messages. Mi Smart Band 6 now also provides accented character display, and this was not really possible with earlier models. With cheaper, non-branded activity meters, it is often the case that this feature does not work properly, so it is worth choosing a branded model for this reason alone.
Energy supply
The minimum expectation is for an activity meter to last at least 3-4 days on a single charge when all functions and features are active. And in power-saving mode, with Bluetooth off and low brightness, better devices can last up to 19-20 days. It's worth choosing a model with a magnetic charging cradle so you don't always have to take it out of its plastic case, which is obviously a very convenient solution.
Extras
The more capable activity meters have a few extras that make them stand out from the now gigantic ocean of products. For example, the Mi Smart Band 6 also includes stress level and blood oxygen level measurement. Also worth mentioning is sleep tracking, which looks at how much time the user has spent in deep sleep, wakefulness or REM sleep, i.e. how restful their night was.
Also, ladies' cycle tracking has been incorporated into some modern devices, which can also be a small but useful feature. Of course, we can't forget the media playback function, which simplifies listening to music, and there are even devices that include built-in breathing exercises and warn you if they think you should move more.

All things considered, we can say that the activity tracker, the smart bracelet, is not a passing fad, but a wearable device that improves quality of life. It has many convenience features, it's discreet and it's useful.
