On the first day of the big spring show, a rather interesting router was presented. To enjoy WiFi6, you need a WiFi6 router. Well, XIaomi has just made one, specifically for gamers.

 

Design

The AX9000 is interesting looking, some people think it's ugly, others like it, but most people just put it down somewhere and leave it there anyway, as long as it does its job it's fine, so it doesn't matter what it looks like. I like it anyway.

But what you might not put on top of the cupboard (apart from technical reasons) is that it contains 4 RGB strips (that's what makes it a gamer) that can be customised.

One thing for sure, you have to get used to it, it might give you nightmares if you're a Stranger Things fan :D

Another thing to note is that these devices generate a lot of heat, so in addition to the two heat sinks, they also have active cooling.

It's the baddest Xiaomi router yet, and with some great firmware it can do a lot of things: you can set it up to run ad-blocking across the whole network, use it as a VPN server or client so that all connected devices can access the internet with a VPN subscription, or even as a mini NAS thanks to the USB 3.0 port

How much does it cost us?

Well, not for us yet, because the router is only available in China, they would have to pay about 46 700 forints for such a router.

It has since been revealed that the Banggoodos cost around 75 thousand forints.

It's not a clunky router, it's equipped with modern technology. Compared to what a router costs at the red store, it's expensive.

But if you look at routers with similar capabilities, it's cheap.
