As promised, sooner or later we'll write you all about everything, which turned out to be later rather than sooner, but patience is a virtue and it's April Fool's Day anyway, so if we wrote about the Mi Mix Fold you'd think we were joking, so now we're going to talk about the new Mi Notebook Pros.

The new laptops are available in several versions, with a 14-inch and a 15-inch version. The main difference, apart from size, is the display, as the smaller model has a 120Hz IPS LCD instead of OLED.

Display

A bit more about the display, this is no ordinary display, it can do the 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space, supports DC Dimming, and has a TÜV Rheinlad low blue light emission certificate, as well as the SGS eye-safe certificate.

In terms of resolution, the big brother has 3.5K, which is 3456×2160 pixels and Gorilla Glass protection. The brightness is 600 nits, the aspect ratio is 16:10, and the display fills the 93% of the front panel, with small bezels.

The smaller model has a different panel technology and resolution, but also a different refresh rate, with a 120Hz 2.5K IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels.

The exterior speaks for itself, so I won't go into the design, nice work, very good looking! However, we have to go through the ports, because it's important what, where and how much you can plug in.

Portok

There aren't too many other options, 3DB USB-C, one of which has Thunderbolt support, and a 3.5mm jack.

But it's important to point out that with a small hub, adapter or docking station, you can add full-size USB ports, a LAN port, and HDMI or DisplayPort output, all via a single cable.

It comes with Windows 10, but probably, as with previous laptops, with a Chinese version, which although it has a license key, is the only version you can use, so you either learn Chinese, buy Windows 10, or put Linux or, MacOS on it.

In the case of the global version, it will of course come with global Windows 10, if it comes.

It includes MIUI+, which is Xiaomi's ecosystem attempt, and it also has XiaoAI, but if you like, an extra button to program anything, even Microsoft Sabolcs ;)

It also has an HD webcam and a microphone.

The battery is 66 watt-hours in the larger model and 56 watt-hours in the smaller one, both supporting 100 watt fast charging.

Here are the specifications and prices (in Chinese, converted to HUF, excluding VAT and other charges)

There will also be a Ryzen version, due in May. When it's released, you can certainly read about it here.

It is clear that they are fairly priced, even if they were to make it to Hungary. However, not much is known about this at the moment.

The larger model is available for pre-order now and will be available from tomorrow, the smaller 14-inch variant will be available for pre-order from 26 April (hmm, there's something in the air... 1986 + Apple reference? :D ) and will be available from 1 May.
