Today, the global version of the Redmi Watch was finally unveiled as the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite. The similarity is uncanny, although there are some differences between the two.

I've written all about the Redmi Watch before, features, prices, appearance. It's got a good price for what it can do, as we expect from Redmi at the moment and of course we're getting it. But I didn't expect to be unhappy with the global version.

Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite Specification

  • Display: 1.4" LCD display

The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite is currently priced at 59.99$, but the retail price is 69.99$, which will be well over 20.000 HUF.

Now let's see what the Redmi Watch does better:

  • Multifunction NFC
  • Microphone
  • Xiao AI
  • Ambient light sensor

The Redmi Watch is priced at 299 Yuan ~ 45.73$ ~ 13.360 Ft. But the Mi Watch Lite promises at least 11 sport modes and 2 days longer battery life than its Chinese counterpart. So, we don't use much of the Redmi Watch's extra features at home, but it would have been nice to at least voice instruct Alexa or Google Assistant to turn on the humidifier or air purifier. Although I have my doubts that the description of the factory page is not completely 100%, I've seen something like this and also includes a light sensor so that the watch itself can adjust the brightness of the display. NFC is another dead issue for the average user.
