The Redmi TV X 2022 series is launched

As announced 11 days ago written by, the Redmi TV X 2022 series was launched on 20 October. Redmi didn't reveal much about the series upfront, so there are some new features.

The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 will be available in 55 and 65 inch sizes, or 140 and 165 cm. The smart TV will feature a 4K resolution panel with 3840×2160 pixels. The display has a grayscale response time of 6.5 ms, 10-bit colour depth (8-bit + FRC) and supports P3 colour gamut coverage of 94%. It also supports FreeSync Premium and Dolby Vision.

The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 also features a unique dual 120 Hz refresh rate and MEMC, which greatly enhances dynamic picture display and can reduce blurring.

There has also been a big improvement in sound. The audio system consists of four built-in speakers, 2 channels, a 2×0.38-litre sealed box with a large sound cavity, 2×12.5 W output power and supports Dolby Atmos.

As for the internal configuration, the heart of the Redmi TV X 2022 is a MediaTek MTK 9650 processor, which is also used in the Mi TV Master Edition. The 22nm chipset integrates a Mali-G52 2EE MC1 GPU and is capable of up to 1T of AI compute capacity. It also supports AI-PQ, AI -AQ intelligent voice and image settings. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage to match these standards.

In terms of connections, the smartphone is equipped with two HDMI 2.0 (eARC), one HDMI 2.1 port (4K 120Hz), one AV, one ATV/DTMB, two USB, one S/PDIF, one RJ-45, and four microphone jacks to support remote audio.

In terms of pricing, the Redmi Smart TV X 2022 55 inch will be available for 2999 yuan (~146 thousand forints) while the 65 inch model will be available for 3499 yuan (~170 thousand forints). The smart TV will go on sale on October 31st simultaneously via JD.com, Xiaomi Mall and Xiaomi Youpino.
