The Mi robotic vacuum cleaner has been on the market since August 2016, and it was time for a model update.From 2017, the first robotic vacuum cleaner with the Xiaomi logo, manufactured by Roborock, has been available in several Hungarian online shops, and from August 2018 in the Hungarian Mi Store. The Roborock, whose self-titled S5 series 2018 was the dominant robot vacuum cleaner on the Hungarian market, thanks to the xiaomishop.hu webshop.
The Mi robot vacuum cleaner has been ranked highly in several tests (like the Roborock S50, it is in the Top 5 on the global market), and in its price category it scored the highest out of the 30 models tested (18.5 out of 20).
Today at the Mi Fun festival, the manufacturer presented 20 products, one of which is the Mi Robotic vacuum cleaner 1S was. The first generation was the best-selling robot vacuum cleaner on the e-commerce platform for three consecutive years, with over 3 million units sold. And among the 3 million customers, there were hardly any dissatisfied customers (surely no one has a black carpet :-D ).
That's what the Mi robot vacuum cleaner can do
According to Mi Robotic vacuum cleaner 1S has undergone a number of upgrades, with significantly improved cleaning performance and stronger suction.
Its enhanced LDS laser unit can scan its environment at 5×360° per second, making positioning more accurate and faster. The new AI algorithm is already included here - as in the Roborock T6 also in new model - which is capable of image-based door recognition, enabling room partitioning and dynamic routing, reducing unnecessary turns and repeated routes, with 13% improving cleaning efficiency compared to its predecessor.
The 'brain' of the vacuum has also been improved, with a quad-core processor now performing more accurate calculations, resulting in a 40% performance improvement. The 1S has also finally caught up with the Roborock S5 in terms of suction power, with an increase from 1800 to 2000 Pa. This allows it to more effectively remove dirt in floor cracks, or hairs and bristles that have been trampled into the carpet.
The Roborock T6-voice command (voice control) also works, for now only with XiaoAI's Chinese language system.
Possible increases in the size of the dust container, reductions in volume, or improvements in threshold climbing capability are not yet mentioned. As soon as the official product page is ready we will expand our presentation.
The price of a smart vacuum cleaner
The current price in China is 1999 yuan, which is the price of the Roborock S50 in HUF, i.e. 130e Ft including shipping and taxes.
