In the weeks leading up to the end of March, rumours and alleged leaks of a new Xiaomi tablet have been circulating. A reminder for those of you who haven't been following events with an eagle eye: the last Mi Pad is 2018, so it's almost 3 years old. No tablet was finally announced at the launch.
However, new information has emerged in recent days, and it seems that not one, but three tablets will be added to the range. These could be the Mi Tab 5, the Mi Tab 5 Lite, and the Mi Tab 5 Pro.
Three is the Hungarian truth!
The big brother will come with a Snapdragon 870, a 16:10 120Hz display, and four cameras, the largest of which is 48 megapixels.
The middle, "basic" model is identical to the Pro in display and SoC, but there are only 3 cameras on the back, the largest of which is 12 megapixels this time.
You don't need a bigger tablet, because that's not what you're going to be taking most of your photos with anyway
The iron in the Liteos Mi Tab 5 is slightly weaker, powered by a Snapdragon 860, with the same display and camera composition as the middle one.
The panel will be IPS and 120Hz, if these rumours are true. The touch sensor could be 480Hz.
In addition, they will have touch pen and keyboard support, the latter reportedly being some kind of Xiaomi solution.
If all is true, the new Mi Tab series will have 4 speakers, support for NFC, wireless charging and fast charging. Birds have been chirping about 12500 mAh batteries for the larger models and 8000 mAh for the smaller ones.
This information is theoretically a crumb of Xiaomi code, but treat it with caution!
