Recently, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has organised external monitoring agencies to audit crowdsourced mobile applications (apps) and third-party software development kits (SDKs). Mostly life management services, leisure and entertainment, and practical tools were inspected. 55 apps (SDKs) were found to have violated users' rights and interests.

Almost every manufacturer appears in the list, from Xiaomi, Oppo, vivo and smaller companies. The number of Xiaomi apps and SDKs is quite high, with a total of 9 issues. In addition, one of the most well-known Xiaomi apps is Xiaomi Wear, known as Mi Fitness, which is the app for Xiaomi's wearable devices. The problem with the app is that it has "Mandatory, frequent and excessive claims". They don't elaborate on exactly what is so overbearing about the app.

The application and SDK must be patched according to the relevant specifications. If the remedial action is not carried out, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organise and carry out the appropriate disposal works in accordance with the legislation and regulations. So they will delete all from where if they are not repaired in Xiaomi apps and SDK environment.
