Following yesterday's article, the question rightly arose: it's all well and good that Mi A3s are repaired for free abroad, but what about in our small country? I looked into this today.

I asked probably the two biggest domestic Xiaomi resellers about the case:

Xiaomishop, and Xiaomi Hungary.

I quote from the Xiaomishop's reply:

For owners of devices purchased from xiaomishop, we will of course "warranty" the A3 for this malfunction caused by the Android 11 update.
(Even if the warranty period has already expired!
Of course, you must provide proof of purchase with an invoice or order identification number!)

For those customers who have NOT purchased from xiaomishop, or who have purchased their A3 from abroad, we can provide a paid service to repair the A3.

Xiaomi Hungary has also confirmed that, according to the manufacturer's announcement yesterday, the defect will be repaired free of charge both under warranty and out of warranty, and you should contact TMX.

If you bought it from elsewhere, contact them, they will certainly repair it for free.

We previously reported that Mi A3 Android 11 update bricks the phones, on which they are installed, and then Xiaomi released an announcement yesterday, and also a new secure update.
