Various reports have suggested that Google will soon unveil a low-cost member of the Pixel 6 series. The Pixel 6a box has been leaked. Last week, there were reports that the Pixel 6a could be announced at the Google I/O event in May and released later on 28 July.

The Techxine has now shared a new image showing the Pixel 6a box, indicating that it could be released soon. The box shows a picture of the Pixel 6a, which has a similar design to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The camera cover of the phone appears to be made of glass, but it could also be a glossy plastic. Previous rumours also suggest that the device will be made entirely of plastic.

The camera island is consistent with the previous renderings of the device. The large LED flash on the right is also the same as on the renders, and the device seems to really skip the microphone hole and laser autofocus.

Regarding the specifications, previous leaks indicated that the smartphone will feature a 6.2-inch OLED display and a fingerprint sensor under the display. Like the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, it will be powered by the Google Tensor chipset and will have 128 GB of internal storage.

The camera will be equipped with a 12.2 megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor and a 12 megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera of the device will be located in a pinhole cutout.
