Cybercriminals are not afraid to take advantage of the Squid Game enthusiasm of fans to fool unsuspecting users under the guise of the series. 

The Squid Game (in English Win your life) is Netflix's most-watched series ever, with a total of 142 million subscribers in 94 countries in the 28 days following its debut. The staggering number of viewers has, of course, also generated staggering revenues. Bloomberg News from according to the South Korean production has already grossed $891.1 million, or HUF 275 billion, for Netflix. By comparison, the entire series was made for $21.3 million, which is about $2.4 million per episode.

Unfortunately, it's not only the filmmakers who are trying to make money from the popular series: the Russian cybersecurity firm Kaspersky has issued a statement Warnings scammers abusing the name of the series, using a variety of Squid Game use themed content to try to install malware on users' devices. Since the debut of the series in mid-September, Kaspersky researchers have found dozens of malicious files on the Internet that promised content related to the popular series, but in fact contained malware that could be used to scammers steal data and money. Some of them were Squid Game appeared to offer Halloween costumes while travelling to customers' bank details, and there were also examples of a wallpaper app containing the Joker malware.

So it's worth paying extra attention, because it's easy to stumble across a Squid Game-themed cheat program on the Internet or in an app store.
