More new child protection features are being introduced by Instagram, following a series of accusations that the company is failing to address the mental health of young people.

In recent months, there has been a sharp rise in negative voices against Instagram, with image sharing retreated in several areas and apparently started to to work to resolve contentious issues. The story started back in September with a leak scandal in which a former Facebook employee, Frances Haugen, disclosed serious internal documents. The leaked documents revealed that Meta (formerly Facebook), which owns Instagram, is aware that Instagram has a negative impact on the mental health of young people.

The company also announced several new features for next year, including a take break feature that alerts the user to take a break if they have used the site too much. It's important to note that this feature is optional and not mandatory, so it's mostly a sham measure on Instagram's part.

In addition to the pause feature, there is another feature coming to the site that parents will benefit from the most: they will be able to see how much time their child spends on Instagram and set a time limit for them. In addition, there will also be a way for parents to request a notification when their child has blocked someone on the site.
