Xiaomi has announced big plans to build a more profitable business in India. Meet Xiaomi's latest product in India, the Mi Router 3C. It is the first router to not only be shipped to India, but the first networking device to be sold locally.

The Mi Router 3C is a 2×2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n router with a combined up/down throughput of 300Mbps. It has 16MB of flash storage for firmware updates and 64MB of DDR2 memory, which Xiaomi claims is 8x larger than most routers.

Remarkably, the system uses four copper+PCB antennas. On the back, there are 2×10/100Mbps LAN ports and 1×10/100Mbps WAN port. It has a range of 80 meters and supports 64 connected devices, which is very similar to routers at a similar price.

The Mi Router 3C will be available on May 23 at a price of INR 1,199, which is roughly $19. The device is available for purchase at Mi.com, Amazon India and Xiaomi's new Mi Home retail store.
