Tomorrow will mark one week since the launch of Xiaomi's next smartwatch, the Mi Band 5. A day after that, it was announced that it will be launched in July for the global market, but they didn't say at what price.

The interesting thing is that we'll be calling it Mi Smart Band 5. But why? Half of them don't know that it's a smart device? And in Hungarian shops it will be called Xiaomi Mi Smartband 5? But according to the preliminary surveys, not many people would buy the Chinese version, as with the predecessors, but will wait a few weeks until the bracelet at least "speaks" to them in English. Pre-ordering of the Global version has also started in international online stores, although we still don't know the official price as it hasn't been announced yet, but Gearbest has already priced it at 42.99$.

As the NFC version, like its predecessors, can currently only be used as a door opener, it is not available now. Although you can order it from China and try it out, it cannot currently be used for anything other than payment terminals. But let's be hopeful and perhaps for the first time in Europe it will be announced that some banks, be they physical or virtual, will support the use of an external NFC device. And you will be able to prepay for the plain global version here, when it becomes active:
