Call recording on Xiaomi phones! It works!

Many people are struggling after the sanctions imposed in Europe, it is not possible to record calls with Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco phones. Xiaomi had to replace its own Phone, Contacts and SMS apps to comply with GDPR regulations. Here is the solution: Call recording on Xiaomi phones!

This is not a problem on most custom ROMs, and Xiaomi's apps offer plenty of options, not to mention the fit within MIUI. On European phones, Google apps already perform, which I think is ugly and feature poor. But if you've come to terms with that, but still miss call answering, here's the best solution:

The Boldbeast Call Recorder application can record calls on Android 10/11 based systems. You can find the app in the Play Store, which you can download by clicking here. After installing the application, you have to give quite a lot of permissions, which you can do with a simple "OK", but later you need to set a special option or else it won't work.

When you first start the app, a red text appears at the top, and clicking on it will tell you what's wrong:

You must enable the "Boldbeast Call Recorder Accesibility" feature, otherwise your call recordings will remain completely silent. Why? Because Android and newer versions have changed the call recording rules.

Clicking OK will take you to the utilities menu, here select "Downloaded apps", here select "Boldbeast Call Recorder" app and toggle the top switch. Give it permission and we are done. Now you have call recording on Xiaomi phones!
