Not so long ago cases were leaked about the Redmi K40, but it didn't take long for real photos to emerge. It should come as no surprise that the pictures are from Weibo this time, from a user with 171,000 followers called "This classmate's name is Xiaoyu".

The front panel has a camera hole in the centre, unlike the right-hand version of the K30. The phone is in a case, so the size of the cups is not visible.

You can't see the back, but you can see the camera, which is very different from both the K30 and the K30 Pro/Ultra. It is probably most similar to the Mi 10T design, but not entirely. We find a main camera module and 3 slightly smaller lenses, an LED flash with a 5th lens underneath, but it could also be that some kind of sensor has been placed. Underneath there is also a label "ultra premium". The question is whether this is a reference to the camera, or is this a K40 Ultra Premium version?

There is no photo of the right side, but, as there are no buttons on the left side, the power and volume buttons are probably on the other side. There is also a sim tray on the left side.

If you only look at the speaker, microphone and Type-C port, the bottom of the device would be completely transparent, but there's more. A 3.5mm jack connector. It really looks like Redmi, unlike all the other known manufacturers, doesn't intend to leave this jack out of its next top-of-the-range device, which could be really good news for audiophiles in particular.

Rumour has it that the release is not far away, and the Like 11 of us the device could be available later this year.
