Facebook plans to introduce paid groups, which would allow group administrators to earn extra income on the site.

Facebook (more specifically Meta) is not only the metaverzum project, they are also spending some time on Facebook and trying to improve it in small and large ways. Recently, for example, the company came up with a new money-making opportunity for group administrators to earn extra income.

At the company's annual Community Summit event, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced plans to allow group admins to create webshops within their own communities and charge money for joining groups. from a Reuters. The idea behind the service is that administrators can create sub-groups within the group, which would offer members higher quality, extra content and longer conversations. This would generate extra revenue for the adnim by selling products or fundraising.

Although Facebook has already started testing the new feature with some of its administrators, it is not yet known when the wider public will be able to try out the new money-making option. The social networking giant added that they do not want to rush the process, as they believe it is important to eliminate the risks of the new service, such as the possibility of content being distributed in these sub-groups that is not allowed under the social networking site's rules. Zuckerberg made it clear that sites that often violate content rules and are "prone to misinformation" should not be allowed to create paid sub-groups.
