A useful feature is coming to Google Chrome, which will automatically notify you when a product you have previously added to your shopping cart has been marked down.

In the age of online shopping, it's quite difficult to keep up with sales, i.e. which online store has the cheapest prices for a particular product. While there are countless price tracking sites on the web and even mobile apps for this purpose, Google has now developed its own solution, which can be accessed via the Chrome browser on your phone.

Using the price tracking feature is very simple, all you have to do is leave the page open where you have placed an item in your basket. If the price of the product you're looking at drops, Google will indicate the markdown to the user in the top corner.

The feature will only be available in the US for now, with Android devices getting it this week and iOS coming a little later.
