As the year draws to a close, Facebook and Instagram have both launched their own year-end summaries.

As 2021 draws to a close, not only will the various top lists be published, but also the usual year-end round-up content, which will look back at the events of the past year. After Spotify and Duolingo, social networking sites are also have come forward with their own year summaries, consisting of posts, stories and likes.

The Facebook a Year Together will remember 2021 with cards that allow users to share the most important moments, events and experiences of the past year. Facebook has started to roll out the feature, so it's worth checking out the site, because sooner or later, everyone will get the social giant's year summary, which will be available until the end of the year.

Recently renamed Meta, the company did a similar report for Instagram, but this time the popular "disappearing after 24 hours Statistics take centre stage. Once the algorithms have scanned through the data, they suggest entries to the user, who can then use them to compile a top 10 list of the best disappearing stories of 2021.

The Playback all we need to do to access this feature is to have archiving of stories turned on and at least 3 stories we have published in the last year.
