Canalys: Xiaomi becomes the biggest manufacturer in Europe!!!

Xiaomi has made huge strides in recent years, and in Europe it is now as big as Samsung, Apple and Huawei. They are now a thing of the past, because Xiaomi has taken everyone by storm! The first Canalys 2021 report is out.

Canalys reports that Xiaomi has climbed to second place with 85% growth by Q1 2021. Samsung, which is in first place, only managed a quarter of that, but is still taking a big chunk of the market. It's still holding on to this with plenty of low-end, £0 subscriptions.

Apple has fallen back to third place, with similar growth rates as Samsung, and will soon fall off the podium. Oppo, another huge Chinese manufacturer, is right behind! The biggest fall on the face of it is Huawei again, which no longer makes much sense for business outside China.

However, even Samsung can no longer hold its position in Central and Eastern Europe, Xiaomi has taken the lead! Okay, that didn't just happen, but in the fourth quarter of 2020, so it's business as usual. At the bottom of the podium, Apple has come up, followed by Honor, with no growth, but Huawei as the frontrunner. Or still is, because it probably won't make it into the next report.
