Xiaomi external batteries are very popular in our country. The high quality and durability that we have come to expect from the manufacturer is the hallmark of all Mi Power banks so far. We have seen dozens of variations in recent years, both in the number and type of connectors, capacity and colour. Keeping up with the charging capabilities of phones, the manufacturer has introduced a new model in early January 2019, using the possibilities offered by technology.

The Mi Power bank 3 Proas the name suggests, represents the current pinnacle of the manufacturer's external battery range. A 20.000 mAh capacity, as well as the Type-C the most eagerly awaited innovation alongside the 45 W and dual fast charging support.

The Mi Power bank 3 Pro has 3 ports in total, compared to two ports on the 10,000mAh Mi Power bank 2 Pro. The 2 USB-A ports are joined by a USB-C port. The Type-C port is capable of 45W (15V/3A) input and output, while the USB-A ports can output 18W max (5V/2.4A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A). You can charge a variety of laptops with the Type-C port, including Apple's Macbook Pro and Air models and Huawei's Matebook models (full list of supported models below), or even the Mi Notebook Pro.

If both USB-A ports are used at the same time, the output is max 15 W (5V/3A). Note that when charging the external battery, you can also use the free port to charge two devices. Xiaomi points out that the 11-hour charging time (with a standard 10W charger) for the power bank is reduced to just 4.5 hours with a 45W charger.
Mi Power bank 3 Pro has an ABS plastic casing, which is more resistant than aluminium, and a silky (ceramic-like) coating. The battery cells have a low self-discharge, the electronics are capable of smart charging and a total of 9 circuit protections to ensure safe use.

The new Mi Power bank will go on sale on January 11, starting at $29, or about 11.000 Ft. (price including delivery and taxes) with domestic price tag (expected to be available in February), for now in black.

Xiaomi's new external battery isn't the strongest in the field, as OPPO's new battery last year in November, released a SuperVOOC Pikachu edition Power bank capable of 50 W charging.
