Introducing the first Redmi phone!

There's no doubt about it, everyone knows that Redmi has gone its own way and is now its own unique brand. It's no secret that the first Redmi phone will be unveiled on 10 January 2019. It's just not known which one it will be. The one with a 48MP camera will surely be the Redmi Pro 2, or the Redmi brand will take a new direction and the naming might change. Or maybe it wasn't the Redmi phone that took the picture...

From now on, this is the inscription on the back of Redmi phones, just like on the Pocophone. To prove this, a colour image of the new Redmi phone has been published on TENAA.

According to the TENAA listing, three models will be released at the same time, the difference between them will be the memory and the back and within that will come the colour differences. In the image above, we're admiring a Redmi 7 phone similar to the Mi 8 Lite's colour scheme, with the usual dual camera, dual-tone flash and rear fingerprint reader. The display size is 6.3″ and there will be a waterdrop notch on the top edge of the screen, just like on the Mi Play phone. Judging by its size, it will pack a 3,900 mAh battery, which can be charged lightning fast via USB-C connection up to QC3.0 function.

So far, this is all we've been able to find out from the Chinese sites, but until the launch, we'll be sure to write almost everything about it. Stay tuned!
