Rumours had it that Xiaomi's next big launch, the Mi Mix 2, would be coming in September, but now we officially know the exact date, as Xiaomi has announced it in a picture on Weibo.

The poster above, although it is in Chinese, says that the Mi Mix 2 will come with a 2.0 display. How is this to be understood? Well, we're still guessing, but it will definitely come with a narrower bezel, rounded corners and 2.5D glass compared to its predecessor. The event will take place at the Beijing University of Technology High School on 11 September (9/11 hmmm) at 2am local time (8am local time). There are also rumours that Apple will also unveil the premium iPhone 8, as well as the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus on 12 September. This suggests that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will be a direct competitor to the iPhone 8.

Rumours are starting to tell us everything we need to know about the upcoming flagship phone. The same French designer, Phillipe Starck, dreamed up the design and presented it, S835 SoC, 6/8GB RAM, 128/256GB storage, 95% screen-to-body ratio, 6″ screen, 18:9 aspect ratio, ceramic back, MIUI9 based on Android 7.1.1, fingerprint reader, 3D facial recognition, 3400 mAh battery.

Prices are already being outlined, with the 6/128 version being around 600$, while the larger 8/256 will be up to 750$.

But we are really looking forward to it!!!
