In China, the Xiaomi community has officially announced the devices for the next release of HyperOS. Specifically, which devices will receive the development version of HyperOS for China in December. In addition to the announcement in China, a few phones that are available here in the US have also been released in code and will be among the first to receive a HyperOS stable update.
The Xiaomi HyperOS first round has already received the development version of the system and stable has started to be launched for some types. For us, the stable branch is the most important, as it will be used for the global and EEA versions. The next HyperOS roadmap is now available.
Xiaomi HyperOS second schedule
According to an official announcement by Xiaomi, the following Chinese phones will receive the second round of the Chinese developer version of HyperOS:
- Xiaomi 12S Ultra
- Xiaomi 12S Pro
- Xiaomi 12S
- Xiaomi 12 Pro
- Xiaomi 12
- Xiaomi 12 Pro Dimensity Edition
- Redmi K50 Ultra
- Redmi K50 Gaming Edition
- Redmi K50 Pro
- Redmi K50
- Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4
Of these, the Xiaomi 12 series is the most important for us, but the European versions of the Redmi K50 series should not be overlooked. But Xiaomi added a few more thoughts in the announcement:

Here we reiterate that the Xiaomi 12S series has the highest priority in the second batch of development versions. However, Xiaomi 12S series is the first Leica series, so we will pay more attention to it and test it more thoroughly. To avoid any confusion, we will continue to accelerate the testing process to ensure that the Xiaomi 12S series is the first series in the second batch of development versions and will be officially launched in December. Xiaomi HyperOS global and EEA stable updates
In the OS code, there are a few lines that indicate which phones will get it, i.e. those that are already in testing. Internally, of course, not publicly. These are:
- Xiaomi 13 Ultra EEA
- Xiaomi 13T EEA
- Xiaomi 12T Global
- Xiaomi 12T EEA
- POCO F5 EEA
- POCO F5 Global
- POCO F5 IN
The above HyperOS updates of course include the basics of Android 14, which Xiaomi has built from the AOSP source, alongside its own linux system. We'll have to wait for the release, neither Xiaomi 14 nor HyperOS will be available on the international market this year. Patience.
