More than two years ago, in February 2019, Xiaomi released the Mi 9SE phone to our delight. But why was it such a big bang? Many of us already know the answer to that and have been waiting for its successor ever since. Could the Apple iPhone 13 Mini be an alternative?
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE phone was outstanding in a number of ways, but its size was the reason many people chose it. The phone measures exactly 147.5 x 70.5 x 7.5 mm, weighs 155 g and has a 5.97″ display diameter. It is a personal favourite of mine, as I have had this phone since its release. The performance is satisfying, Snapdragon 712 SoC still IS good for everything, I run a lot of apps, besides I play games with it regularly. The battery though, which is only 3,070 mAh, with 18 W fast charging. If I'm not careful, it will be completely drained by the evening.
Xiaomi has since then not even announced that it will launch another small phone with such features in the future. I mean in terms of the size of the case and the screen, but in everything else with hardware that's up to date. Just a dream... that's why many people are looking at other brands, even though the range is not the best, but even now Apple offers an alternative in its latest range.
Apple iPhone 13 Mini
Apple iPhone 13 Mini is even smaller! Its dimensions are 131.5 x 64.2 x 7.7 mm and it comes with a 5.4″ Super Retina XDR OLED screen. The whole phone weighs only 140g, which even fits a 2,438 mAh battery with 20W fast charging. I can't compare the performance of the phone as it's not available yet, but unfortunately we don't have access to this brand like we do Xiaomi.
The by the numbers I cannot judge the means, which is better and at what? Moreover, this article is not about bashing this or that, or exalting it to the skies. Unfortunately, I also have bad news for iPhone fans, because according to today's rumours, the 13 Mini will be the last in the family.
Reminder:
The iPhone 13 mini is THE LAST "mini" iPhone.
There will not be a 14 mini next year.
So if you've been thinking about trying the mini, the 13 mini is your last chance.

It's not the first time Jon Prosser has leaked information from the Apple trenches, and there have been a few previous posts that have stirred the pot. Then he wasn't always right, or maybe he knew something, not just guessed. So if you're looking for a small phone with state-of-the-art features, this is your last chance.
But there's a big catch, while the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE was available for around 110.000 HUF, the Apple iPhone 13 Mini starts at 294.990 HUF. Then who knows how much it will be on the shelf for.
