Introducing Ameca, a robot designed by British developer Engineered Arts, who is certainly spectacular and at times terrifyingly human-like.

Although the crown virus outbreak has knocked many industries to the ground, there are some areas that have benefited from the upturn. With the rise of contactless solutions and automation, the development of humanoid robots has accelerated, with more and more companies showing off their own prototypes, though not all with the same purpose.

Ameca, a robot developed by the British company Engineered Arts, has almost the full range of human facial expressions and emotions, in fact, it articulates almost like a real human. A robot while also moving his hands and head, much of which feels like a perfectly natural movement.the perfect humanoid robot platform for human-robot interaction“.

The The Verge report from according to, Ameca cannot walk at the moment, although the creators would like to give her that ability at some point. According to Engineered Arts, the humanoid robot will be shown live at CES 2022 in January.

Ameca is intimidating enough on its own, but the Cornwall-based company has recently unveiled another robot that may have even more human-like facial expressions than the one pictured above. In creating Mesmer, the creators have tried to perfectly mould human bone structure, skin texture and give the bot a lifelike facial expression. How well this was achieved is for you to judge from the video.
