Remember the magnetic drawing boards?

Draw, delete, draw, delete. That's essentially what this tool does, but with a little improvement. Digital drawing tablets are very popular in the retail market, at least in China, and Xiaomi is no exception. The LCD digital drawing board, released under the MIJIA sub-brand, is currently available in community-funded Xiaomi Mall and Mi Home stores.

Dimensions, prices

The drawing board is available in 10 inch (25.4 cm) and 13.5 inch (34.29 cm) sizes. The smaller size retails for 49 yuan (roughly 2,000 forints) in China, while the larger size costs 99 yuan (just over 4,000 forints). The community-funded price is 49 and 79 yuan (~3300 HUF), but only if one buys both, thus helping to develop the product.

Appearance, use

The MIJIA LCD drawing board is characterized by a minimalist style, not unfamiliar to Xiaomi, dominated by white. The main component of the device is the touch-sensitive LCD display, which naturally takes up most of the space on the front panel. The device features an "ultra light" magnetic touch pen. The manufacturer offers the device for business use, for example to illustrate ideas during a presentation, as a family notice board, or for children to draw and sketch.

Technology, materials

The display uses a unique LCD film formula, which has been developed for colour contrast, writing feel and note thickness to be as natural and clear as if the user were simply drawing on a piece of paper. It is particularly noteworthy that the display does not emit any harmful blue light.
The device has a rounded back and is made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, or ABS for short, which is a tough, impact-resistant and very lightweight material, so it weighs just 7 grams. The magnetic touch pencil has 4 neodymium-iron-boron magnets for easy storage.

According to the manufacturer, great care has been taken to ensure that the materials and technologies used in the production of the drawing board are environmentally friendly and safe. There is no ink dust, as I mentioned, no blue light, no electrical radiation, so you won't get tired very quickly when using it, unlike with conventional LCD displays.

The device is powered by 1 button battery, which lasts 365 days, with 100 wipes per day. Unfortunately, there is no indication or information about whether there will be a version in the future that will be able to save drawings and writings, until then it will remain draw, delete, draw, delete.
