Xiaomi responds to app bans in India

As I wrote earlier, there's been quite a campaign in India against Chinese tech companies, with the Indian government banning a series of apps that stored user data outside the country. So that was the alleged reason.

Mi India, the India branch of Xiaomi, reacted to the sanctions imposed on Twitter.

1) None of the blocked applications will be available
2) The MIUI Cleaner app does not use the Clean Master app which is banned by the Indian government.
3) 100% of Indian user data will remain in India

A new version of MIUI is coming soon.

Tehát a Xiaomi Indiában betartja a kormány által foganatosított szankciókat és a következő hetekben egy olyan MIUI verziót fog kiadni frissítésként, mely nem tartalmazza előtelepítve a betiltott alkalmazásokat és szolgáltatásokat. Az indiai felhasználók adatait 100%-ban az országban lévő adatszervereken fogja tárolni és azt más országnak vagy harmadik félnek nem adja ki. Európában is már lassan elveszti mindenét a MIUI, ami azzá tette, mint aminek a Xiaomi megálmodta és amihez már 10 éve hozzászoktunk…
