With 3D air gestures, you can access applications and functions without touching the display. For example, you can set your phone to open the camera when you draw the letter C in the air. The idea is a bit weird, and some people might think you're stupid if you start drawing letters in the air with your phone, but it can come in handy if you have dirty hands and don't want to touch the touchscreen.

For example, in the video above, C is set to open the camera and W is set to open TitTok. The function probably uses the accelerometer and gyroscope data to identify the app or function to launch, but there is no exact information on this.

The feature is only available on Mi 9 beta MIUI for now, but it's assumed that other devices will also get the feature, but there's no information on that either. What is certain is that, since global beta MIUI will be discontinued, so the global version of MIUI will not have the feature until later.
