REDMI will be a separate, independent brand from 2019

At 3:00am today (Hungarian time), the shocking news/event was announced at 10:00am in China that the first independent Redmi phone will be unveiled in China on 10 January 2019.

Redmi, which is manufactured by Xiaomi but will become a separate brand, is the embodiment of Xiaomi's mid-range range. In the future, we will no longer be talking about a Redmi series, but a separate brand, such as Pocophone or Honor from Huawei.

Set to launch on January 10 and debut as a new brand, one thing we know for sure is that the Redmi phone will have a 48MP rear camera. This is not only confirmed by the image above, and we can't find any better evidence than that, but also by the poster. If you look closely, the shade of the Redmi lettering makes it a 4800 number, which also points to this. Or 4800 mAh battery? 8-)

Redmi 7 or Redmi Pro 2?

What we will meet in 7 days is still a mystery. Our guesses so far are the Redmi 7 and Redmi Pro 2. Our guess is that the Redmi Pro 2 will be the 48MP camera phone above.

The Redmi Pro 2 will be the first SD675 phone to feature an outstanding camera, according to the posters. This leads us to believe that we will get to know this phone better on the 10th.
