Xiaomi's tablets are not so popular in our small country, even from the last generation only the plain Xiaomi Pad 5 came to us, the Pro did not. The price isn't as attractive as the first tablets were, but it's still a good value for money. The next generation Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro are rumoured to be in testing.

Xiaomi Pad 6 és Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro már teszt alatt

The rumoured Xiaomi Pad 6 series has two models, the Xiaomi Pad 6 (Pipa) and the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro (Liuqin). These devices will be a significant improvement on the current generation compared to tablets.

The rumour started on Twitter, from Indian blogger Mukul Sharma, who posted the following:

[Exclusive] Internal testing of two new Xiaomi tablets has started in several European and Eurasian regions. The tablets (probably the Pad 6 and 6 Pro) will use Snapdragon 8 series chips. The launch could take place in the second quarter.
Feel free to retweet.

So the arrival of the two new tablets is still a long way off, it's only January and the second quarter is a very long time. So until then we're just guessing what will be in it. But it's sure to be powered by the latest SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. At least 11″ screen size, hopefully IPS, because AMOLED is brutally expensive. The design will match the then top of the range model, or even the Xiaomi 13 will greet you from the back. Who knows... In the second quarter of 2023 the new generation of Xiaomi 13 will be out, maybe Xiaomi 13T or 13S with a new design and it will be the cooler one.
