Xiaomi 13 Ultra may finally go global

After the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, we had every right to expect the next generation, but unfortunately the Xiaomi 12S Ultra has not reached us. But it is very popular in China, not to mention special editions. And now this year's big hit, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, has popped up in several databases, where there are even traces of a global release.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra flagship mobile phone was launched in July 2022. It is the first high-end flagship to be the result of a collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica. After about half a year, Wang Teng and Xiaomi CEO said that the plane was entering the last phase of its life cycle. Last month, Xiaomi also launched the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, but there was no news about the highly anticipated Xiaomi 13 Ultra. So far.

A blogger's post on Weibo has started circulating that the Xiaomi 13 ultra has been given a model number and a code name. These are "2304FPN6DC" and "Ishtar". Ishtar, also the goddess of love, fertility and war and sometimes the symbol of Venus.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra carries on the advanced camera technology of its predecessor, but will probably go through quite a major upgrade. As there's no new sensor yet, it will once again feature Sony's 1″ IMX989 image sensor, but it's not yet known what setup it will use. Of course, it'll be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, so it'll already have more options than just imaging.

Xiaomiui blogger has revealed in the MIUI code that the phone will not only be released in China, but will also have a global release.

The Xiaomi 13 was first released in MIUI Alpha version 2022.11.05, if I can call it that. The code for the global release only showed up later, in MIUI released on 28.11.2022. Several sources have suggested a release date for the phone, or even an approximate one.
