Xiaomi's representative in Hungary informed us in a press release about the great news in the title that from 20 February Starting from now, in the BAUHAUS stores around Budapest, Xiaomi will open a smart home showroom where you can see, try and buy smart gadgets. The announcement is published one by one:

Showrooms presenting Xiaomi's smart home solutions will open at BAUHAUS stores in Dunakeszi, Maglód and Szigetszentmiklós, where you can see not only individual devices but also the entire smart device network in action. With this project, Xiaomi wants to show itself to Hungarian customers from a new angle, because, in addition to being the world's third largest smartphone brand, it is also the world's largest commercial AIoT (AI+IoT) platform. The Xiaomi Zones in BAUHAUS specialty stores are preparing for the opening on February 20 with special promotions.

Today, a "smart home" is much more than just having a smartphone in the home: a whole network of devices that communicate with each other and can be remotely controlled, enhancing comfort functions with artificial intelligence, can raise a home to the level of a smart home - which is now not out of reach for domestic consumers. Xiaomi, one of the world's largest tech companies, and BAUHAUS, a specialist in house, garden and construction, have set out to bring the concept of the smart home within reach of Hungarian consumers. To this end, three so-called Xiaomi Zones will be opened in February this year in BAUHAUS stores in Maglod, Inselszentmiklós and Dunakeszi. They are arranged like a modern home and show the devices that serve our household in action.

In the first round, 43 products will be available in specialist stores, such as security cameras, electric scooters, smart scales, LED desk lamps and air purifiers. What they have in common is that they have a range of smart features and can usually communicate with each other. Xiaomi is the world's largest commercial AIoT (AI+IoT) platform, with 289.5 million smart devices connected worldwide, in addition to smartphones and laptops.

The grand opening of the first of three domestic showrooms showcasing the Xiaomi ecosystem will take place at the specialty store in Dunakeszi on 20 February 2021 at 10:00 am. The ribbon will be cut by Tibor Wagner, Country Manager of Xiaomi Hungary and Róbert Karcagi, Managing Director of BAUHAUS. At the same time, the Maglod and Inselszentmiklós units will also start their official operations.

Tibor Wagner, Country Manager of Xiaomi Hungary, said about the upcoming opening, "Xiaomi's excellent smartphones are still the most popular brand in Hungary. However, it is time for people to get to know another side of this highly innovative company and to experience the reality of what a smart home is. With Xiaomi's forward-looking products, you can create a comfortable home that can be controlled remotely or with voice commands, with digital devices that work for the comfort and safety of the occupants, blending in elegantly with the interior and saving energy. These products will now be sold in stores where they can be seen and tested in operation. We are curious to hear what our customers think, as customer feedback actively shapes Xiaomi's product development."

Róbert Karcagi, Managing Director of BAUHAUS SZAKÁRUHÁZAK Kereskedelmi Bt. said, "Quality, excellent value for money and innovation have always been the most important factors in the development of the BAUHAUS range for more than 60 years. With the implementation of the Xiaomi collaboration, all three criteria are met to the maximum. We are confident that with the expansion of our smart home range, we will be able to better meet the needs of our innovation-conscious customers. In the Mi Zone, set up in BAUHAUS specialty stores, our customers will be able to personally touch and try out the products in operation. Already during the introductory test period, there was a great interest in Mi Zone. I hope that this initial relationship will develop into a long-term, successful collaboration."
