Xiaomi Hungary has officially announced the opening of a Mi Store in Budapest, Hungary. Xiaomi brand's history in Hungary dates back to 2011, when enthusiastic Hungarian fans started translating MIUI. Since the brand was only one device of the company at that time, it was not even a well-known brand and did not stand out among the Chinese phone companies that copied everything at that time. The breakthrough started in 2013, when MIUI Hungary was founded and the Mi 2s phone, which was already in wide use at the time, established the interest in our country. With the release of the Mi3, it burst straight into the public consciousness and started on the path that everyone now knows it by.

For years there was no progress in Hungary, until last year, when the European conquest started and two companies were awarded the official reseller status in Hungary, Ingram Micro Magyarország Kft and WayteQ Europe Kft. The physical stores are now so widespread that the brand opens one almost every week in its home country, but in Europe the expansion has not yet picked up such a pace, with the leading brands still dominating the market, but Xiaomi is steadily making its way up the podium and more and more people are tasting the term Sáomi. It has now become a way of life for many and interest has grown to the point where, in addition to online sales, a physical presence is needed in every country.

Xiaomi Hungary has taken a big step in this direction and will open the first Mi Store in Hungary! In fact, they are already hard at work on the design and equipment, stocking up on supplies. The store will not only be another store in our country - as Xiaomi products were already available in several reseller stores - but also an official customer service and service centre. The latter already existed, the well-known WayteQ service. We hope that everyone will be able to try out several devices of their favourite brand, as the store will have a wide selection, many of which can be bought locally.

The Hungarian Mi Store will open its doors to the public later this month, and will offer a promising launch promotion for all interested parties. However, it should be mentioned that nobody should expect to get the products at the original price, as we know that our country will have the highest taxes and duties worldwide, so it will not even come close to the prices outside. However, with web prices, everyone would have to settle for more than just a showroom from the only Xiaomi store...

The official announcement hasn't revealed the exact location of the store yet, but curious fans have already spotted the upcoming Mi Store in the Lurdy house! :)

We look forward to more official information, until then stay tuned!
