Xiaomi Mi Power Strip - Well, it's an extension cord

Extension leads, also known as distributors, have long been part of our everyday lives. What is an extension cord good for? Basically, there are two possibilities.

Nowadays, marketers will invent anything to sell us something, but we are slowly reaching a point where we can say they have nothing new to show us.

Design, functionality, quality

S hogy mitől különleges e darab? Egyrészt, egész tetszetős a dizájn, de tudjuk, hogy nem a külső számít – egy külsőséget viszont kiemelnék, EU csatlakozós földeléssel ellátott hosszabbítóról van szó, így végre nem kell csatlakozó cserét végrehajtanunk, vagy átalakítóval használnunk.

Three devices can be connected at a maximum voltage of 230 V and 16 A each, and three additional 5V 2A USB devices can be powered. The latter gives you the possibility to charge your smart devices without a separate adapter, or almost anything that can be charged via USB and can be charged at 2A.

I can't complain about the quality, as the cable is thick enough and has a good length (1.4 m), a fireproof casing up to 750°C and overload protection, azonban fontos megjegyezni, hogy a túlterhelés és a túlfeszültségvédelem két külön dolog – ez ellen a hosszabbító nem nyújt védelmet!

Overall

Well I can't draw any rather deep, epic conclusions about the device, it's an extension cord that either works or it doesn't, right? Basically yes, but it's not worth thinking about such a device in that way. It is important to pay attention to quality and reliability, i.e. safety, as care is essential when choosing an electronic device.

On the plus side, for the price you get a good quality device with a USB device slot. For Xiaomi fans it's a must-have, but for everyone else I would also dare to recommend the Xiaomi extension cord with the official Mi Power Strip EU connector.

Domestic pricing is currently around HUF 5,000, in the xiaomishop.hu offer (2020.01.30.) The smart versions will certainly have to wait, but it is possible that some of these models will be available on the European market in the near future.
