The Xiaomi Mi 10 / Pro will be fully unveiled in China on 13.02.2020 and in Europe at MWC2020 on 23.02.2020. Until then, Xiaomi has been dropping a nice line of new features of the phone, such as the exterior, camera, memory, back, wireless connectivity, etc.

This year's Qualcomm Snapdragon series is currently numbered 865, in a nice line-up. The features of the new SoC could be listed endlessly, with find technical details here.

Compared to the previous version (SD855+), the computing performance has increased by 25%, although interestingly, the frequency of the cores responsible for the computation has decreased. For graphics performance, there is an increase of 20%, although this doesn't seem like that big of a jump compared to SD855+, which was 15% over the plain 855+, so compared to plain 4G phones, 35% is already significant. The SD865 now also supports 4x 16bit, 2750MHz LPDDR5 memory modules, boosting the already incredible speeds.

As memory modules evolve, not only their storage area improves, but also their read and write speed. "What do we need them for?" you might ask. The new Xiaomi Mi 10 phone will feature LPDDR5 chips made by Micron! This will keep the cost of the phone at the right level, compared to competitor Samsung's solution.

However, the Mi 10 Pro may include memory modules manufactured by Samsung. At the moment, it is not entirely clear what Xiaomi CEO, mentions both on its Weibo page, but never with a specific type.

But let's also talk about the new standard, LPDDR4x is capable of much higher throughput than its predecessor, using less power. Faster apps, images and not to mention 8K pixel count and longer super slow motion shots. Gamers can upgrade their devices again, although it won't be a BlackShark, (that's also coming soon with version 3) but the Mi 10 will be good for everything IS!

With lightning-fast memory comes lightning-fast back-up! As with memory, more than double the read/write speeds of 2.1 (850/250 Mbps) have been achieved with the new 3.0 standard (2100/410 Mbps). Of course, the new NAND memory itself cannot do this without a matching SoC, memory, etc., also using 7 nm technology. As most of us know (I hope), the speed of a system is always determined by the slowest unit. Xiaomi Mi 10 has none of that!

If the whole system is going to be so brutally fast, it would be nice to have a fast data connection! Of course, as we all know, the SD865 is 5G capable, so you shouldn't have any problems with your cellular connection, and WiFi will be at its best as well, as the Xiaomi Mi 10 / Pro will be able to support the latest version 6!

WiFi 6 will be a huge leap forward, sort of like 5G, with incredible transmission and connection speeds, more secure connections, more devices to manage. But what good is it going to do us, because it's no use having a fancy phone if you can't use it. Oh well, we'll have to wait a bit longer for the technology than for 5G. But the good news is that the router for the phone is being made, which will only support this standard! And then the smart home stuff, so there's plenty to spend this year!

This performance also requires adequate cooling, as they consume little power but do a lot of work, which generates extra heat. And here comes Xiaomi again with a new one!

Liquid cooling is used to cool all the components in the phone, which give off a lot of heat. Not like previous solutions, or the competing Mate 30 Pro 5G, but in almost half of the phone. 3,000 mm2 felületű hőelosztással merőben jobb eredményt értek el, mint a világon bárki. Már megint valamiben első a Xiaomi, lehet trollkodni…

In a show of strength, the Xiaomi Mi 10 calculates the 10,000,000 (ten million) digits of Pi faster than a notebook with an Intel® Core™ i7-8550U Processor.

Another speed test! Copying 10 GB of files on internal storage in just 24 seconds, of course on a Xiaomi Mi 10 phone, with a laptop with Intel® Core™ i7-8550U Processor and SSD drive!
