Chinese manufacturing giant Xiaomi is constantly working to improve its own MIUI system. Running on Android, MIUI has grown to become one of the most popular UI systems over the last 9 years, and Xiaomi is here today thanks to this.

However, this also depends to a large extent on the users. Today (20 November), at the manufacturer's developer conference, Xiaomi Internet Vice President Qiao Zhongliang outlined the MIUI strategy for the next 2-3 years.

Qiao Zhongliang said he will use MIUI's AI system to connect mobile phones and IoT platforms. He hopes that they can improve their smart home system based on the user habits collected by AI, building a base, but they are concerned about security, safety and with respect for your privacy. They are working on to make their intelligent systems the best for users and become market leaders.

Qiao Zhongliang also said that Xiaomi will open up to developers, providing access to the MIUI system and the AI system. The aim is to prepare them to exploit the opportunities of the new 5G network and to create the next generation IoT system.

MIUI will be the smart system for the office-ready Mi Work (Mi Work), for sport, health and fitness Our Health (MI Health), for smart travel planning with Mi Go, the already known and improved Mi Home, and the also already existing Mi Game is. The list is still growing, and major improvements to the other features of the system are also expected.
AI and IoT are therefore central to making our lives more convenient. But privacy will also be at the forefront. The UI framework and the security of system services are of paramount importance, so they are frequently updated to prevent strangers from accessing our data, content or the device itself.

Some of the services are China-specific, and EU regulation is expected to prevent more services from entering the Global ruins in the future. The development of XiaoAI is one of them, which is expected to either be replaced by a Google service or left out of future MIUI Global versions altogether.

What do you think the future MIUI system will look like? How could it be better than, for example, MIUI 11, which is currently available to a few?
