The China State Intellectual Property Office On April 5, Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co., Ltd. has granted a "vehicle" patent. The Xiaomi car patent covers a body and a front camera module for vehicle applies.
The patent was filed back in March 2019, but has only recently been made public. The design is very similar to a conventional SUV or sedan, with a few notable differences. For one, the front end is much sleeker and more aerodynamic. There are also no classic side mirrors, which Xiaomi says helps improve the car's range.
A patent application filed in November 2021 concerns Xiaomi's wide-angle camera modules for use in electric cars. The patent was approved on April 5. According to the patent, the camera system includes multiple camera modules and captures wide-angle images.
The cameras are located on top of the Xiaomi car. Three camera sensors provide images from the direction of the target, each capturing a different angle of view. The reason for placing the three cameras facing the same direction is to reduce blur in the captured images to zero and get a more detailed image.
