Xiaomi 14 added to IMEI database

Even the Xiaomi 13 / Pro phone madness hasn't even rung off, but the next model is ready. The Xiaomi 14 / Pro has recently been added to the IMEI database, no property is included, but a release can already be inferred.

Digital Chat Station, Weibo blogger wrote today that they have registered the Xiaomi 14 series in the IMEI database. The regular and Pro versions are expected to be released in November this year and will be powered by the latest SD 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The IMIE database reveals almost no details about the phones. However, the model numbers 23127PN0CC / 23127PN0CG and 23116PN5BC / 23116PN5BG do give some information. The first 4 digits of the numbers are the expected release dates, which are November 2023 and December 2023. It is likely that the plain Xiaomi 14 will be released first, followed by the Pro, but there are also rumors of a Xiaomi 14 Ultra phone. The model numbers end with "C" for China and "G" for global, so it will be released worldwide at the same time. Again, it won't be released here until 2024, like the Xiaomi 13.

It's too early to go into its features, as nothing has been leaked yet. But based on expectations, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be in both phones. As for the cameras, the Sony IMX989 1″ image sensor will probably be the main module, or maybe more, but in addition to that, it might also get a periscope zoom. Hopefully the flat surfaces will be back on the Xiaomi 14, the Pro may of course get a curved screen.

Both phones can be powered by 5,000 mAh batteries, with the standard 14, 90 W, and the Pro version with 120 W wired fast charging. Anything could change or improve before the announcement and there's plenty of time before then.
