Although the Xiaomi 12 Lite hasn't been released here either, yet it was the first to receive the MIUI 14 update in Europe. Its successor, the Xiaomi 13 Lite, has just been added to the list of Google Play Console supported products. So there's bound to be a global version of it now, it's just a question of whether it will make it to us now or stay outside our borders.
Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 13 series in China back in December. A Xiaomi 13 series currently consists of two phones, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. Now it seems that Xiaomi will soon introduce another smartphone under its 13 series, the Xiaomi 13 Lite . Like its predecessors, the Xiaomi 13 Lite will be a mid-range phone.
The phone's code name - in the Google Play Console database listing - is "Ziyi" and theoretically it will be a rebranded Xiaomi Civi 2. Although the image of the device in the listing shows the previous version, the hardware refers to the Civi 2. Under the hood, it is listed with an SM7450 system chip which corresponds to Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. It comes with 8GB of memory, a 1080×2400 pixel resolution screen and Android 12 based MIUI 14.
It is rumoured to be released alongside the plain Xiaomi 13 and Pro at the global launch. It's also where we'll get to see the global version of MIUI 14. We'll see soon enough.
